Imagine singing in Paris with MCS friends - old and new!
As you may know, MCS has co-commissioned a new work by Elaine Hagenberg (composer of the beautiful Illuminare which we performed in the December 2024 concert). We will sing this new piece in our Spring performance on May 3, 2026. In addition, this new work will have its European Premiere in Paris on June 23, 2026 and MCS has been invited to sing in that premiere!
To participate in the premiere, we need at least 20 MCS members to join us in Paris. (We would like even more!) Click on the green button below to download the brochure with itineraries, costs, and deadline details. Next June sounds far away, but the non-refundable deposit to hold your spot is due in early September. The brochure shows land-only, with or without airfare, and with/without additional days estimated costs. We'll be staying and rehearsing at the Le Méridien Paris Arc De Triomphe and performing at the Church of Saint-Sulpice. An optional 2-day excursion includes a stay in the lovely Loire valley and visits to a chateau, winery, and Chartres Cathedral.
New singers who would like to experience this amazing opportunity with MCS must audition by early September (see Join MCS). Auditions appointments are currently available on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 (sign up at Join MCS). Singers must perform with MCS at our May 3, 2026 concert (rehearsals Tuesday evenings, starting January 20) if they wish to sing in the "City of Light" performance.
