The 2008-2009 MCS season is upon us with both Winter and Spring concerts already planned. To celebrate the fortieth anniversary of MCS, we will be singing Handel's Messiah. For spring, we sing Dvorak’s Te Deum, Brahms’ Nänie, and the Faure Requiem. Serious stuff to be sure!
Rehersals are from 7:15 to 9:45 on Tuesdays. Here are some important dates:
Tuesday, September 16 - First Rehearsal (Mizpah UCC, 6:30 p.m.)
Tuesday, November 4 - NO REHEARSAL (but get out and vote!)
Saturday, December 6 - Gig at U of M’s Landscape Arboretum (time TBD)
Friday, December 12 - Dress rehearsal (St. Therese, time TBD)
Sunday, December 14 - Concert (St. Therese, 3:30 p.m.)
Thursday, March 19- Spring Dress rehearsal (Hopkins High School, time TBD)
Saturday, March 21- Spring Concert (Hopkins High School, 7:30 p.m.)

To celebrate the anniversary, we would like to have past MCS members join us for the Messiah concert. This would be a great time to contact someone whose voice you miss.
